Ravi Medikonda, MD
Ravi was born in India and grew up in Tampa, Florida. He graduated from Rice University with a major in Cognitive Sciences. After graduation, Ravi moved to Baltimore, Maryland to join the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. In medical school, he discovered his passion for neurosurgery and brain tumor research. He took a year off during medical school to pursue a year-long research experience in Dr. Michael Lim’s brain tumor immunotherapy lab. For his work on combinatorial immunotherapy strategies for glioblastoma, Ravi was awarded the Dean’s Year of Research Fellowship and the Johns Hopkins Neurosurgery department’s Harvey Cushing Medical Student Research Award. Outside of neurosurgery, Ravi enjoys listening to music, collecting shoes and headphones, Italian food, and reading non-fiction.
