Adela Wu, MD

Adela was born and raised in Arcadia, CA, before heading east for her undergraduate and medical studies. At Brown University, she studied Neuroscience and English Literature, completing honors theses in both disciplines. She then attended Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she pursued an additional year dedicated to glioma immunotherapy research under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Lim. During the professional development years of residency, she is Principal Investigator on an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality-sponsored F32 training fellowship applying mixed methods to disparities in the intersection of neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, and palliative care. Her interests outside of neurosurgery include writing, contemporary and classic literature, illustration and graphic design, hiking, kayaking, and spending time with family and friends.
